It's All Mental

Jan 12, 2021

The mental and emotional effects of our current events can be overwhelming.  We have to still get through our day to day despite the political and racial climate. So how can we still deal with everything going on while at the same time, keep making progress and moving forward?

One thing that helps us to work through our feelings is to self reflect and do a deep dive into ourselves.  We need to ask ourselves hard questions about what we are feeling and why so that we can better understand ourselves. Deep diving can be a very uncomfortable process and we may find we have resistance towards it.

It is so important as we deep dive to notice triggers, repeating patterns, or other feelings that may be buried within us.  We cannot deal with what we are going through until we acknowledge exactly how we are feeling. I encourage you that if you are struggling with the current situation to contact a licensed therapist that you trust, who can lead you through some of these thought processes.
